An author’s book plate is an adhesive shield that will fit inside the front cover of your book that has the author’s signature on it. But wait! This one is special for Made to Last Forever: A Family. A House. A Nation. And only available between November 1, 2025 to January 1, 2025 from the author. Or on books purchased from The Fairbanks House Gift Shop.
This author’s book plate has the author’s signature and a likeness of Jonathan Fairbanks’s signature as found on a 1662 document he signed, found in Dedham Town Records, Volume IV, page 271. It also has a likeness of the wax seal that Jonathan used to seal his letters in the 1600s. The seal likeness was found as script on his will of 1668. There is also space for you to write a brief note and sign the plate if you are giving the book to a grandparent, parent, child, grandchild, or friend for a holiday present.
The author’s plate will fit on the inside of the front cover or on the title page. If you want to write your lineage or the lineage of the recipient, there is room in the back of the book.
